Responsibilities

Operation and maintenance of the Network Optical Backbone SONET equipment and TDM circuits

Resolve highly complex network issues in a timely fashion

Proactively engage Tier 1 to facilitate learning, provide technical direction, and support service restoration efforts

Review network event data and determine causes of alarms and events to determine root cause and resolution of network problems

Scheduling, tracking and performing maintenance on FTI CPE and services

Submits Program Tracking Reports (PTR) for facility, equipment, and service changes

Orders replacement parts for repair activities and tracks shipment

Supports on-call responsibilities and work after-hours as required

Creates detailed documentation for technical and training purposes

Required

Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience

Experience in change management, network management, and network technology experience
