This role provides an excellent opportunity for a law student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration while developing legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.
Law Practice
Responsibilities
Conduct legal research on estate planning, probate, and trust administration issues
Draft memoranda, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents under attorney supervision
Assist with reviewing, organizing, and summarizing case files and discovery
Support attorneys in client meetings, court filings, and administrative tasks
Observe and participate in probate hearings, mediations, and client consultations as appropriate
Provide assistance on special projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualification
Required
A motivated, proactive learner with genuine interest in estate planning and probate law
Someone who values accuracy, precision, and attention to detail
A team player who can also work independently and take initiative
Strong written and verbal communicator who can adapt to different audiences
A professional who thrives in a client-focused, collaborative environment
Preferred
Prior experience in a law firm, legal clinic, or related professional setting
Coursework or prior exposure to estate planning, wills & trusts, or probate law
Familiarity with court filing procedures and legal document formatting
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills
