We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Forward Deployed Engineering team, where you will work directly at client sites to identify requirements, prototype solutions, and deliver production-ready vertical AI applications.

Responsibilities
Work directly with customer engineers and domain experts to identify and scope opportunities for solutions
Understand requirements, lead pilots to prove feasibility, design system architecture, and ensure smooth integration with their environments
Own applications from concept to production, balancing speed of delivery with scalability, security, and maintainability
Build solutions on Multiscale’s AppHub for customers, integrating backend APIs, data pipelines, and machine learning models into intuitive, user-facing applications
Lead technical discussions, document key decisions, and set coding and design standards for projects you lead
Create quick prototypes in Streamlit or React to confirm concepts with customers, then evolve them into robust applications
Work closely with internal platform, AI, and UX teams to feed customer insights back into the product roadmap
Feedback field learnings to our product teams to influence enhancements to AppHub when platform-level features and capabilities are needed
Guide and mentor junior developers when part of larger project teams
Qualification
Required
5-7 years of professional software engineering experience (incl., full stack engineering, data engineering, solution / implementation engineering)
A proven track record of working with customers to design and deliver production applications, including making architecture and technology choices
Experience collaborating directly with customer engineering teams on delivery and integration
Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to explain complex designs to both technical and non-technical audiences
Strong Python skills with experience in FastAPI or Flask
Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases, API design, Docker, and Git
Experience with Cloud like Azure, AWS, and GCP
Preferred
Exposure to Micro-electronics application domains
Familiarity with ML pipelines and working with domain-specific datasets
