1+ years expGAI Consultants is seeking an Assistant Substation CAD Operator 1 to support Substation projects. The successful candidate will perform CAD work of red-lined engineering markups for various substations and assist in project support under engineering supervision.

Responsibilities
Opening, revising, plotting, and saving of drawing CAD files
Assist in compiling, collating, assembling, and verifying completeness of drawing and project document packages
Knowledge of plot profiles and user profiles in CAD package
Assist CAD technicians and CAD operators in the development of their skills as required
Ability to learn multiple software platforms including, but not limited to, AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical
Attend project-specific meetings as required
Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and be able to work effectively under the pressure of deadlines and unexpected developments
Ability to work extended hours or after hours when required
Learning and helping to find ways to improve GAI Engineering CAD Standards
Effective communication with the project team
Able to identify inconsistencies in drawings and communicate these issues of concern to his or her supervisor
Able to take and follow verbal instruction
Basic 2-D line work and text edits
Plot and create PDF drawings
Perform red-line edits
Follows basic QA/QC procedures
Assist with general office function such as printing and folding drawings
Responsible for personal task management and adherence to deadlines and scope
No Management responsibilities
More independent completion of work assignments
Possess basic oral and written communication skills
Interacts effectively with other staff
Learns to master and accurately follow instructions from others
Qualification
Required
1+ Years of Experience
Associate Degree from an accredited Technical School
Basic 2-D line work and text edits
Plot and create PDF drawings
Perform red-line edits
Follows basic QA/QC procedures
Assist with general office function such as printing and folding drawings
Possess basic oral and written communication skills
Interacts effectively with other staff
Learns to master and accurately follow instructions from others
Driver's License
