Responsibilities

Characterize HDD read/write performance under various workloads through data collection and firmware analysis
Analyze test data against performance specifications, and report and review your findings with the development team
Enhance and develop high-quality embedded firmware
Prepare design documents and conduct design reviews

Qualification

Embedded firmware designEmbedded coding skillsCode analysis toolsSATA/SAS protocolsPythonAnalytical skillsMATLABInterpersonal skillsCommunication skillsSelf-starter

Required

Currently pursuing an Engineering degree or a related field, ideally with graduate-level coursework
Strong embedded coding skills with foundational knowledge or experience in embedded firmware design, implementation, and debugging
Self-starter with excellent analytical skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Familiarity with code analysis and development tools (version control, compilers, linkers, interface bus analyzers)

Preferred

Experience with interface bus analyzers
Familiarity with SATA/SAS protocols
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python
Experience using MATLAB
