Process Scientist
Universal Display Corporation is a global leader in organic light emitting diodes, and they are seeking a Process Scientist to join their R&D team. The successful candidate will develop efficient chemical processes for OLED materials, leading synthetic investigations and scale-up activities within a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities
Independently generate hypotheses, and / execute experimental work to prepare assigned targets
Optimize synthetic processes and individual steps therein to improve overall the overall efficiency of synthesis
Develop and apply crystallization, distillation, and/or other purification methods to isolate pure process intermediates or final products
Establish in-process controls to result robust chemical processes
Apply DoE and QbD methods for process optimization
Apply PAT tools to design, analyze and control manufacturing processes
Scale-up intermediates and final products up to multi-kilogram quantities
Identify critical process parameters which affect critical quality attributes
Clearly record experimental observations within the electronic notebook per published SOPs
Provide oral and written updates to as requested
Characterize compounds with little to no supervision
Attend all relevant safety training and follow published SOPs
Qualification
Required
PhD in Chemistry
Exceptional scientific / technical skills

Experience with LC/MS
Experience with EasyMax, PolyBlock
Experience with Jacketed reactors
Experience with GC/MS
Experience with Automated Chromatography Systems
Experience with Hydrogenation equipment
