Responsibilities

Gathers data used for creation of topographical maps

Prepares metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects, exhibits and various mapping products

Gathers data used for creation of topographical maps and Right of Way surveys

Compile information necessary to stake projects for construction using engineering plans

Compare survey computations with applicable standards in order to determine adequacy of data

Collect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant information

Prepare topographic contour and Right of Way maps of land surveyed, including site features and other relevant information such as charts, drawings, and survey notes

Qualification

Survey experienceCivil 3D CADDMicrosoft OfficeCommunication skills

Required

High School diploma

2-3 years extensive survey experience and/or specialized vocational training in survey technology

Civil 3D CADD software experience is required

Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office programs

Strong communication skills both oral and written

Preferred

TxDOT experience is a plus
