Responsibilities
Efficiently, safely, and accurately remove and reinstall heavy-duty drivetrain components
Repair malfunctioning parts, including but not limited to brakes, brake lines, hydraulic lines, steering components, electrical components, pumps, and valve bodies, ensuring they operate effectively
Perform routine DOT maintenance on trucks as needed
Conduct road tests on customer vehicles to assist in problem isolation or verify repair procedures
Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as required
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
2-5 years of experience as a heavy-duty mechanic
State Certification or the ability to obtain it
Strong diagnostic skills for troubleshooting
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Must provide own hand tools up to ¾ drive
Good communication skills
