Responsibilities
Review product cost analysis, costing, and accruals involved in the monthly cost package
Review journal entries, balance sheets, and inventory related reconciliations
Update material standards and ensure compliance with internal controls including SOX
Review the preparation of various reports involving inventory, finished goods, and expenses
Review analysis of freight expenses
Support special projects and coordinate audits
Identify and enhance processes within the department
Lead a small team of accountants by providing mentorship, coaching, and oversight
Develop strong relationships with other accounting & finance departments to enhance decision making
Support other accounting & finance departments during their busier times with financial reporting & corporate close
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
5+ years of accounting experience
Previous team management experience required
Previous experience working for a company of $1B+ in revenue
Preferred
CPA preferred
Understanding of inventory related accounting & product costing helpful
