Global Sustainable Sourcing Manager

The Global Sustainable Sourcing Manager will lead the company’s value-chain decarbonization efforts across procurement categories, focusing on embedding sustainability into sourcing strategies and supplier engagement.

Responsibilities
Own the Scope 3 decarbonization roadmap for Purchased Goods & Services; define milestones and value cases (cost, risk, growth) and strategise progress in line with Colgate’s Science Based Net Zero Targets
Embed carbon as a decision variable in procurement category strategies, RFPs, contracts
Lead supplier engagement programs: identify & activate priority suppliers on target‑setting, renewable energy, primary data and reduction plans; co‑develop abatement levers and track progress
Partner with R&D/Packaging, Procurement Innovation, Quality, Manufacturing and Sustainability to unlock design, material, and process levers (e.g., material switches, recycled content, energy)
Advance data quality and transparency: improve primary data coverage, emission‑factor quality, and automation for reporting and scenario modeling in line with guidelines set by the ESG controller team
Build internal capability: role‑based training for buyers and category leaders; toolkits, playbooks, and commercial levers for decarbonization
Govern and report: run cross‑functional forums, track KPIs, and report progress to leadership and external disclosures in partnership with Global Sustainability
Identify and scale pilots (e.g., supplier energy programs, low‑carbon materials, Regenerative Agriculture) with clear P&L and emissions outcomes
Engage with priority Suppliers on Water Resilience
Actively participate in Industry Coalitions to co-develop standards, share best practices and accelerate decarbonization
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in related fields
Minimum of 6 years' experience in Procurement, Supply Chain or Sustainability (Climate)
Passion for corporate social responsibility, supplier engagement, and sustainable sourcing
Preferred
Master's Degree
Experience in Sustainable Sourcing
Curious mindset with strong interest in identifying and understanding new trends
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at once
Strong strategic and analytical skills
Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to develop key messages for internal and external communication
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
