Information Security Analyst I
NEOGOV is seeking an Information Security Analyst I to join the University of Central Missouri's Technology Operations division. This role involves monitoring security systems, analyzing network activity, and responding to security incidents to maintain the integrity of information security.

Responsibilities
Monitor event logs for security incidents
Investigate impact of security incident
Respond to and neutralize security incidents
Report security incidents
Provide feedback and verification of mitigation to security issues
Monitor vendor and security focused web sites for new and evolving threats
Review and respond to notifications from information sharing and analysis centers
Develop information security briefs
Assist in configuration of security systems to identify threats
Perform system scans for vulnerability and compliance auditing
Assist with assessing risk to information systems
Assist with penetration testing
Assist with installation, configuration, deployment, and documentation of security systems
Fulfill network access requests
Maintain the information security web site
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required
Two years' experience and knowledge with cybersecurity
Familiarity and understanding of cybersecurity analysis procedures and techniques
Demonstrated ability to apply analytical skill to resolve problems
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, team members, peers, vendors, and constituents of campus community
Preferred
Knowledge of programming languages (Python, BASH, PHP, JAVA, etc.)
Knowledge of Linux operating systems
Cybersecurity certification
