Responsibilities
Develop, test, and deploy custom software solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects
Implement best practices in architecture, design patterns, code quality, and DevOps processes
Collaborate with product managers and cross-functional teams to align development with business goals
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies to ensure delivery velocity and clarity
Utilize modern development workflows using tools like Jira and Bitbucket
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field OR equivalent work experience
In addition to the education requirements, eight years related experience
Training related to business area supported (i.e. Accounting, Engineering, etc.)
All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations
Preferred
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or associated experience
7+ years of professional software development experience
Proficiency in full-stack development technologies (e.g., Angular, Node.js, Java, CSS, etc.)
Expertise in C++ programming and SQL
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Experience with Bitbucket (or Git-based tools) for version control and CI/CD integration
Familiarity with cloud services in Azure
Knowledge of energy or utility domains
Experience working in a matrixed or enterprise environment with multiple stakeholders
