Responsibilities
Oversees the work of functional specialists and support personnel responsible for accomplishing enterprise acquisition and logistics management functions, which involve contracting, supply planning, technical and quality assurance processes
Manages, plans, directs, and oversees day-to-day operations of an Integrated Acquisition/Supply Team (1ST)
Serves as a Contracting Officer for amounts above the warrant limitations of subordinate employees
Provides comprehensive customer and Agency support for assigned programs
Provides guidance and/or takes actions on problems of unusual difficulty or those requiring interpretation of procurement policy to resolve the issues
Monitors the collection, consolidation and analysis of metrics and data used to inform Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) operating officials regarding the viability, effectiveness, and efficiency of Team programs

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited educational institution authorized to grant baccalaureate degrees OR a current civilian employee in DoD or member of the Armed Forces, who occupied an 1102 position, contracting officer position, or comparable military contracting position with authority to award or administer contracts above the simplified acquisition threshold on or before September 30, 2000 are excluded from the requirements of 'A' above
Must possess at least two years of experience in a contracting position
One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. In addition to meeting the Basic Contracting Requirement above, to qualify for the GS-13 grade level, specialized experience must be at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector
Creditable specialized experience includes: Provide guidance on government procurement policy and regulatory requirements
Provide problem solving expertise affecting the timely coordination and integration of processes such as Acquisition, Logistics, Contracting, Supply, Technical and Quality Assurance
Adhere to an acquisition schedule while maintaining customer service
