K-12 Facilities Project Manager

Responsibilities
Apply in-depth knowledge of K–12 facilities—gained from roles such as Maintenance Director or Facilities Manager—to deliver high-quality assessments
Utilize a strong understanding of construction and building systems to conduct accurate and comprehensive evaluations of K–12 facilities
Build strong relationships with clients, school district leaders, community partners, and internal teams
Communicate clearly and confidently in both written and verbal formats to answer questions, prepare reports, and present findings
Use Microsoft Excel and related tools to compile, analyze, and present facilities data
Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely completion, budget alignment, and client satisfaction
Maintain high standards of quality and ensure compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and industry best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Three (3) years or more of experience in K–12 schools, higher education, construction management, or a related role
Strong understanding of construction and building systems
Experience working within a school district (required)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and related software
Demonstrated success managing projects in an educational environment
Ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders
Flexibility to adapt to evolving project needs
Ability to travel up to 35% to client sites
Ability to assess buildings, analyze data, and develop written reports
Preferred
Five (5) or more years of experience in educational facilities condition assessment or a related leadership role
Direct experience in K–12 schools or higher education environments
Relevant trade or professional certifications or licenses (CFM, PMP, LEED, etc.)
Experience managing large-scale educational facilities projects from conception to completion
Proven ability to design and implement innovative solutions for complex facilities challenges
