Responsibilities
Demonstrate strong potential for excellence in teaching and curriculum development
Develop and deliver advanced, industry-relevant courses in areas such as embedded systems, IoT security, large-scale distributed computing, edge computing, and related domains at both the undergraduate and graduate levels
Establish a robust, externally funded research program with interdisciplinary impact, particularly in application areas such as smart cities, healthcare technologies, and intelligent systems
Engage in collaborative initiatives within the university and with external partners to advance research, innovation, technology transfer, and sustain awareness of the rapidly changing ecosystem
Contribute to service at the school, college, and university levels, and actively participate in outreach to the broader computing and engineering communities
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computing or a closely related field, conferred by the start of employment
Demonstrated potential for high-quality scholarly research in IoT and related areas
Evidence of, or potential for, excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels
Demonstrated strong communication and interpersonal skills to support student success and interdisciplinary collaboration
