Responsibilities

Serve as the Health Officer for Solano County, providing medical and public health leadership
Oversee the Public Health and Medical service divisions within the Department
Protect, preserve, and promote community health while fulfilling duties under the California Health and Safety Code and related laws
Direct and coordinate activities that prevent disease, promote wellness, and ensure equitable access to health resources
Act as the County’s public health voice, engaging with media and community events

Required

Medical expertise in public health
Ability to connect with diverse audiences
Experience in media engagement and public speaking

Ability to coordinate activities that prevent disease and promote wellness
