FOSTER PARENT SUPPORT SERVICES RECRUITER
Seamen's Society for Children and Families is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children and families. The Foster Parent Support Services Recruiter is responsible for identifying and recruiting qualified foster parents to provide safe and nurturing homes for children and youth, engaging with the community and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities
Responsible for developing new EFFC foster homes and identifying foster parents with an increased focus on prospective foster parents that are interested in working with teens and sibling groups
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract potential foster/adoptive parents through community events, social media, and partnerships with schools, faith-based organizations to increase awareness of the need for foster homes
Responsible for scheduling monthly recruitment events
Conduct initial screenings and orientation for prospective foster parents
Respond to inquiries and guide applicants through the licensing process. Tracks all inquiries from agency/community recruitment events, ACS WISHLINE, and BINTI
Responsible data collection and maintaining the confidentiality of all documents and information including scheduling prospective foster parents for fingerprinting, submitting SEL, and SCR clearances
Assists in facilitating NTDC and TRIPP training for prospective foster parents
Attend all ACS, CCP/SICCAN recruitment events, and participate in monthly recruitment events in Staten Island and Brooklyn
Assists in coordinating foster parent retention events, including but not limited Foster Parent Recognition and holiday parties
Achieves monthly recruitment targets set by the Home Finding Director
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in social work, or related field
Knowledge of NYS OCFS foster boarding home licensing regulations
Excellent oral, written, and communication skills
Microsoft 365 proficiency and knowledge of Connections
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
Work schedule hours may vary, flexibility to work weekends and evenings
The ability to travel between sites is necessary
