Acute Access Team Lead (Full Time)

The Acute Access Team Lead is responsible for overseeing day-to-day registration activities in acute settings and ensuring compliance with standards while providing support and training to staff.

Responsibilities

Oversee the daily registration activities within inpatient, ED, surgical, oncology, and rehab areas, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
Ensure the accuracy of demographic and insurance information during the registration process
Resolve patient concerns effectively and escalate complex issues to higher management as necessary
Mentor and support the training and onboarding of new registration staff, fostering their development and integration into the team
Monitor and ensure compliance with established workflow procedures and regulatory requirements, maintaining high standards of registration services
Performs additional duties as assigned

Required

A high school diploma or equivalent is required
Comprehensive knowledge of acute care workflows and registration processes
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively mentor and guide team members
Excellent problem-solving abilities to address and resolve patient concerns
Ability to monitor and ensure compliance with workflow and regulatory standards
Flexibility and ability to travel between facilities as required
Minimum of 2 years' experience in acute registration or a similar role within a healthcare environment

Preferred

An associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as healthcare administration, social work, public health, or a related area is preferred
Certifications in healthcare access management or practice management are advantageous
Demonstrated experience in leading or mentoring staff is desirable
