They are seeking a Technical Manager, Mobile Engineering to lead and grow their Android and iOS development teams, guiding the design and development of next-generation mobile applications while fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Responsibilities

Work closely with Product Management, Design, and other internal teams to define and scope mobile application features and functionality

Translate business requirements in to technical requirements, develop project plan and work schedules for use by development team

Successfully implement software development projects to specification and within scheduled timelines and budget parameters

Utilized the Agile Methodology to continuously deliver features each sprint to production

Work with internal and external clients to document project success criteria

Hire and develop a team of “A Players”

Work with recruiting to identify, hire and onboard top industry talent

Coach, motivate, train and retain “A Players”

Develop and maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the Multifamily and CRE Industry and CoStar’s position in the market

Continually evaluate emerging mobile technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen CoStar’s technology platform and development practices

Required

Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person college/university

A track record of commitment to prior employers

6+ years of experience with mobile iOS and/or Android application development

4+ years in managing/leading a development team

Experience with mission critical, high volume, mobile apps and/or web-based systems

Proficient in Android and/or iOS development tools, SDK, and related languages (Objective C/Swift/Java)

Preferred

Proficient in writing Unit Tests and/or Test Driven Development (TDD) preferred

Ideal candidate is familiar/proficient in additional development tools; TFS/Jira, C#, SQL Server, Crashlytics

Strong computer system analysis and design skills in current methodologies and patterns including object oriented programming, MVC, SOA, DI, etc
