Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze samples for fertilizer and organic product testing
Perform routine laboratory tests following standardized procedures
Document and interpret the results of experiments and tests
Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instruments
Ensure laboratory safety protocols are followed
Monitor and manage laboratory supplies
Communicate findings and observations
Keep detailed and accurate records of all laboratory activities
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or higher in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field
Previous experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in the fertilizer/organic (Ag) industry
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Laboratory techniques and equipment handling
Sample preparation and analysis
Data documentation and interpretation
Knowledge of safety protocols
Microsoft Office Suite
Basic statistical analysis
Problem-solving
Preferred
Familiarity with IDEM and EPA regulations
