Responsibilities
Lead the development, enhancement, and governance of the brands long-term financial model
Own company-wide forecasting, budgeting, and performance management processes
Partner directly with founders and executive leadership to guide decision-making that aligns with strategic priorities
Deliver sophisticated financial analyses, scenario planning, and ROI evaluations for major business decisions
Oversee consolidated reporting, including variance analysis and executive performance dashboards
Evaluate and prioritize new channels, product categories, and strategic initiatives
Lead market sizing, pricing strategy, margin analysis, and competitive benchmarking to drive profitable expansion
Establish, track, and communicate the core drivers of business performance
Proactively identify opportunities for margin improvement, operational efficiencies, and growth acceleration
Oversee cash flow forecasting, working capital planning, and capital allocation strategy
Ensure the company maintains a healthy financial position to support ongoing scale
Provide high-level oversight of accounting processes, month-end close accuracy, and financial controls
Ensure finance and accounting processes evolve with the business and support future audit or transaction needs
Serve as the primary financial partner to Product, Operations, and Marketing
Guide inventory planning, demand forecasting, and marketing spend efficiency through data-backed insights
Present financial insights and strategic recommendations to the leadership team and board-level stakeholders
Translate complex data into clear, actionable narratives
Lead annual strategic planning cycles and multi-year business planning
Monitor macroeconomic trends and competitive performance to position the brand effectively within the broader consumer goods landscape
Prepare the organization’s financial systems and data for a potential exit
Lead key workstreams during due diligence, including quality of earnings, working capital analysis, and forecast validation
Qualification
Required
7–10 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, consulting, and/or senior corporate finance roles (eCommerce, CPG, retail, or DTC experience highly preferred)
Deep experience in financial modeling, FP&A; leadership, and strategic planning
Proven ability to influence senior leadership with data-backed recommendations
Strong executive communication skills and ability to manage complex, cross-functional initiatives
Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, high-impact business problems with structured thinking and analytical rigor
Preferred
Prior experience preparing a company for a capital raise or exit event is a plus
