Credit Trainee

They are seeking a Credit Trainee to join their credit team, where the associate will learn the fundamentals of credit management and customer relations through an 8-12 month program involving hands-on experience and mentorship.

Responsibilities

Participate in the operation of the business including time in the warehouse, on the sales counter, riding with delivery drivers, shadowing operations, and visiting and/or leading meetings with customers
Learn the technical aspects of the extension of trade credit
Understand systems and processes related to credit management
Develop emotional intelligence and understanding of the sales process
Manage collections and customer relations
Learn about secondary security and the Uniform Commercial Code
Analyze financial statements

Required

0-3 years work experience post bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
Ability and desire to work in a fast paced, customer service driven company with a strong desire to enter a career credit development program
Strong communication and interpersonal skills including face-to-face conversations, conversations by phone, and presenting in front of groups
Ability to build relationships with high emotional intelligence and people skills is a must
Willingness to learn and be part of a team!
