TFL Business Development Manager
ARAUC - North America is seeking a TFL Business Development Manager to join their team. This role involves regular travel to customers and partners along the east coast, focusing on building relationships and executing growth plans for TFL products.
Responsibilities
Work with sales and distribution leaders to build and execute stocking plans (catalogue selection and new décor launches)
Join field visits, run branch training, and coach distributor sales teams on TFL performance, design trends, availability, and value
Identify and fix friction points (lead times, missing SKUs or samples)
Build clear PRISM TFL growth plans for each distributor
Build relationships with Fabricators, Builders, OEMs and the A&D Community; promote TFL designs and technical benefits
Deliver lunch-and-learns/CEUs, trend talks, and project workshops. Identify project opportunities and connect them to distributors
Coordinate samples, mockups, and options to win or protect specifications
Execute TFL sample strategy across the region
Ensure matching “symmetry” products (HPL, 3DL, EB) are available so distributors can quote quickly
Support product launches and décor updates with training, tools, and stocking guidance
Bring customer feedback to product team and marketing. Flag and escalate issues that need cross-functional action
Follow up on leads for new and existing customers
Attend industry related design and trade shows to build brand awareness and network with potential customers and distribution partners
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Architecture/Design, or comparable experience (required)
5+ years' experience in business development, sales, or account management or related field
Experience with decorative laminated surfaces or building-products distribution—able to contribute on day one
Strong working knowledge of TFL and its coordinating products (HPL, 3DL, EB)
Strong presenter and trainer; comfortable leading sales enablement and education sessions
Commercial problem-solver who knows how to identify and remove channel friction
Great relationship-builder, communicator, and organized self-starter
Demonstrates a strong interest in current design trends and possesses keen color-distinction skills to deliver effective and informed consultations
Ability to distinguish colors in order to provide effective design consultations
Passport or ability to acquire a passport REQUIRED
