Responsibilities

Ensure all payroll considerations are addressed including pay rates, deductions, taxes, time information, etc., and that payrolls are processed timely and accurately
Help to review HR data and deductions in the payroll processing system as well as time sheets to ensure the data is complete and accurate. Work with HR and employees proactively to ensure information is accurate
Process exceptions as required for compliance, work with Treasury on off-cycle payments and/or wires
Ensure that transactions are processed in compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as local, state/provincial, and national regulations
Help to identify and test new system enhancements as needed
Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay calculations, taxes, deductions, and benefits. Serve as a go-to service representative for many payroll-related matters within the organization
Connect with HR Systems teams and third-party support to troubleshoot issues as needed
Develop collaborative working relationships with HR/Recruiting to allow for greater efficiencies and sharing of information
Strengthen system controls to mitigate risks and maintain system integrity

Required

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Basic knowledge of payroll practices and procedures
Proficiency in Excel, Word, and office software
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
Self-motivated and able to work well independently and as part of a team
Basic understanding of payroll compliance and regulations
