Responsibilities

Provide OEM specifications and assist in the diagnostics of equipment mechanical issues
Provide, interpret, guide automotive technicians through wiring schematics
Research and create repair methods for trucks in the U-Haul fleet
Identify and communicate about methods or parts conducive to extending vehicle longevity

Qualification

Required

3-5 years repair and diagnostics experience
Basic understanding of electric/electrical circuit operation
Ability to read and comprehend wiring schematics
Experience in diagnosing computer controlled drive train components
Perform calibrations on vehicle power trains
Proficient use of various diagnostic scan tools
Automotive service and repair experience in a dealership/ OEM setting
Acute attention to detail
Excellent oral communication skills in English and technical writing
Identify best practices for diagnostic/ repair processes
Must be flexible and have a positive attitude
Professional appearance and demeanor

Preferred

U-Haul Master Technician status not a pre-requisite but desired
U-Haul Master Technician status within 2 years of job position start date
Ford and/or GM factory training and experience
