Responsibilities
Lead complex bridge design projects across diverse geographic regions, ensuring full compliance with state, federal, and tribal standards
Own the role of Project Manager, driving bridge-focused initiatives from concept through completion with precision and accountability
Serve as the bridge discipline lead on multidisciplinary projects, applying your specialized expertise to shape innovative solutions
Provide strategic leadership and technical direction on challenging bridge engineering issues, contributing to project success and industry advancement
Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering growth in structural engineering knowledge and nurturing the next generation of technical leaders
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality, aligning deliverables with client expectations and business goals
Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, maintaining operational excellence and consistency across all phases of project execution
Qualification
Required
BS in civil engineering
7-10 years of experience in the design of bridges and transportation-related structures
Professional Engineer registration is required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire. New Mexico is preferred
Proficient in common structural engineering software such as Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, LPile, LEAP Bridge Steel, and MathCAD
Proficient in CAD design software, AutoCAD, and/or MicroStation
Ability to effectively use these tools for planning, communication, and collaboration with project teams and clients
Advanced understanding of seismic design principles and non-linear analysis techniques
Familiar with timber and masonry design for bridges
Knowledge of NMDOT project development policies and procedures is a plus; any DOT experience is required
Ability to independently plan, schedule, and perform multiple projects/assignments
Valid Driver's License required
