Responsibilities
Provide technical guidance, mentor junior engineers, and lead technical initiatives to drive cloud adoption and best practices
Design and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure, including multi-region solutions
Implement and manage security controls, identity and access management (IAM), and data protection measures to meet strict government standards like FedRAMP
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and build and manage CI/CD pipelines
Monitor and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost, and capacity
Work closely with development, operations, security teams, and other stakeholders to meet technical and business requirements
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud architecture, configurations, and processes
Qualification
Required
Bachelors Degree or equivalent related experience
AWS Mastery: 10+ years in cloud engineering, with deep hands-on expertise across core AWS services
Automation & IaC: Advanced experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. Strong background in building modular, reusable infrastructure components
DevOps & CI/CD: Experience setting up enterprise-grade pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, GitLab, Jenkins) for continuous integration and delivery
Security & Compliance: Strong knowledge of cloud security practices, IAM policy design, encryption, audit, and compliance frameworks
Resilience & Performance: Expertise in architecting for scalability, availability (multi-region/multi-AZ), disaster recovery, and fault tolerance
Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to engage stakeholders, present technical strategies, and influence decision-making at senior levels
Preferred
Multi-cloud Awareness: Understanding of other platforms (Azure, GCP)
