Payroll Manager - Hybrid
Hands Of Heartland LLC is seeking a Payroll Manager who will oversee and direct payroll procedures while ensuring compliance with laws and tax obligations. The role involves supervising the payroll team, maintaining accurate payroll records, and developing systems for processing payroll account transactions.

Responsibilities
Develop systems to process payroll account transactions (e.g. salaries, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes and third-party payments)
Ensure accuracy of multi-state, multi-company payroll data
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and payroll tax obligations
Supervise and coach payroll team
Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
Maintain training programs for employees on using the timekeeping and payroll applications
Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
Collaborate with Human Resources (HR) and accounting teams
Maintain accurate records and prepare reports
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in payroll
Monitor quarterly and annual tax filings
Manage payroll projects as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
5+ years multi-state/multi-company payroll experience
Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws
Excellent understanding of multi-location payroll and taxes
Familiarity with payroll software/HRIS (ADP a plus) and MS Office (especially Excel)
Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals
Excellent time management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to multi-task
Attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and analytical skills
Preferred
CPM Certification a plus
