Senior Compensation Analyst

H&R Block, the global leader in tax preparation services, is seeking a Senior Compensation Analyst to be a key partner in our Total Rewards team within People & Culture. In this role, you will manage compensation programs and work closely with various departments to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and market trends.

Responsibilities

Manage compensation programs that attract, retain, and motivate associates while aligning with evolving business objectives. Develop and implement communication plans and evaluate existing programs for enhancements
Consult with leadership and the People & Culture team on internal and external pay recommendations, includes those for job or team structure changes
Assist in, develop, design or may lead portions of the annual merit and short-term incentive processes, supporting both Annual Talent Planning and Annual Compensation Planning
Contribute to transformational strategies that drive the business toward long-term goals
Collaborate with People & Culture Business Partners and departmental leadership to define and price new roles, revise existing job structures, and conduct annual market reviews
Develop and manage corporate recognition programs such as Best of Block, annual service awards, Block Stars, and Block Champions, while working closely with vendors and internal partners
Oversee domestic relocation and mobility services, including executive and standard relocation packages, escalations, and payroll reporting
Partner with legal and finance teams to ensure compensation programs are compliant and minimize risk
Serve as a key resource for special projects and other areas of practice

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
Minimum of five years of experience in compensation design and administration including program evaluation, analysis, implementation and business consulting/client interaction
Strong project management and financial skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization abilities
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Experience presenting to stakeholders
Broad and deep experience with compensation & job structures
Thorough working knowledge of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel

Preferred

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
Experience in compensation administration within a large, diverse organization
Experience with HRIS (Workday preferred)
Understanding of Market Surveys and tools (BetterComp, Market Pay, etc.)
Familiarity with domestic relocation processes
Background in managing recognition programs
