Quality Technician CMM / Gage Lab - 2nd Shift

The Quality Technician (CMM / Gage Lab) is responsible for validating the conformance of complex machined aerospace components using various inspection methodologies, including CMM inspection and gage calibration.

Responsibilities

Conduct 1st piece set-up, first articles, in-process, and final inspection
Conduct CMM inspections of parts, gages, and tooling to verify conformance with stated requirements
Utilize and/or calibrate gages such as ring, plug thread ring, thread plug, snap gages, micrometers, dial Indicators, CMM, surface plates, electronic gages, or other precision measuring instruments in accordance with established requirements
Utilize inspection procedures and any other documentation, as needed and/or requested
Supports other areas of the Quality Department including Receiving Inspection, etc
Adheres to all safety guidelines and procedures
Other assignments as required

Required

Knowledge of blueprint interpretation, drawings, specifications
Knowledge of GD&T and inspection methodologies
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with limited information
Able to communicate effectively with management, and co-workers to promote strong working relationships and create an environment focused on teamwork
Flexible with work and job assignments and willing to perform any function as needed
Must be dependable and available to work overtime when required
Proficient with Microsoft Office including Outlook
Self-motivated and ability to work effectively and efficiently with limited supervision
Ability to carry/ lift up to 35 lbs. (50% of the time). Must have the ability to stand, kneel, squat, stoop, use fingers and hands to feel, lift or handle tools, parts and equipment
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the inspection and of complex aerospace components
High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred

5 years of prior Machining experience
