The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is a nonprofit, applied research division of the Georgia Institute of Technology. They are currently seeking a Solutions Architect to define and manage engineering solutions for enterprise systems, focusing on secure cloud computing networks and integration with third-party vendors.

Responsibilities
Defines, conceptualizes, describes and manages an engineering solutions to the enterprise system
Understands technologies, systems, and standards and how they apply to the enterprise
Understand interoperability requirements and is able to work with development team to communicate requirements and implementation needs
Ability to analyze the sponsor enterprise system and provide recommendations impacted by technical solution
Validates security control configuration on systems, ensure all systems are configured to to necessary controls, such as STIGS, CMMC, and other similar requirements
Creates documentation outlining software installation, configuration, and dataflows
Actively collaborates with sponsors and external teams, derives tasks from detailed requirements
Provides tasking to other team members, based off of derived tasks
Provides software and merge request code reviews. Acts as the primary gatekeeper for software merges
Ensures software adheres to coding standards and practices and satisfies sponsor needs
Create and provide briefs to Senior Executive Service (SES) and senior government officials such as Lt Col and higher
Interact at the team level with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Vendors
Set course of action for technical decisions and weigh out trade-offs
Qualification
Required
Experience with on-prem hardware and data center requirements
Familiar with cloud computing and hybrid concepts
Full-stack engineering
DevSecOps & CI/CD
Experience with virtualization concepts with VMWare, Proxmox, OpenStack
Experience with Kubernetes deployments
Experience communicating and collaborating on technical projects with teammates of various technical and non-technical backgrounds
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance
8140 certified
9 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree in Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Security or related fields
7 years of related experience with a Masters' degree in Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Security or related fields
4 years of related experience with a Ph.D. in Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Security or related fields
Due to our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be U.S. Citizens
Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance
Preferred
Some knowledge of cyber defensive and offensive operations
Able to work in a fast-paced, autonomous environment; able to shift priorities quickly
Able to interact with O5 and O6 level leadership
Knowledge of government acquisitions
Active DoD TS/SCI clearance
CCNA and CISSP certifications
