Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities
Is responsible for driving continuous equipment reliability improvements by providing and coordinating technical support and managing the reliability improvement processes for the site
Optimizes equipment performance in the factory according to the site strategy (SKF Production System – SPS)
Is responsible for Safety, Quality, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), people capability, maintenance costs, reducing the quantity and duration of breakdowns in the factory, and serves as the key driver in deploying the Maintenance Excellence strategy
Is involved in several tasks (inspecting and maintaining equipment, implementing repairs, installing new equipment, training personnel, etc.) to ensure that machines and processes are well maintained, repaired, and functioning optimally
Directs and provides leadership for critical assets and related processes, procedures, and SOPs to ensure asset reliability is established and maintained at world-class standards
Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods according to Maintenance Excellence and support process optimization in factory, especially Practice Ground(s), in alignment with the SPS deployment plan
Apply Break Down Elimination (BDE) / Root Cause Analysis methodology to machinery and process reliability. Identifies, recommends and executes solutions to chronic and/or costly problems through the BDE tool
Perform analysis of asset and production equipment performance to include asset utilization, OEE, Mean Time between Failure (MTBF) and remaining useful life as guiding parameters. Provide regularly scheduled reports to review results and improvement opportunities
Drive continuous improvement through automation of manual tasks, incorporation of new technology to improve efficiency, and system optimization to reduce energy usage
Train maintenance technicians and production operators to increase the staff capabilities. Provide technical advice/guidance to maintenance and production operations
Maintain and analyze information on equipment and facility maintenance, KPIs, and historical data to propose improvements. Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering teams to optimize asset lifecycle
Develop preventive actions to reduce costs and increase OEE
Partner with Maintenance Planning to schedule Preventative Maintenance
With system maturity, design, monitor and improve maintenance plans for machines at the component level. Support capital projects and equipment upgrads with reliability-focused input
Participate in developing new equipment and processes to improve reliability. Develop and impletement predictive maintenance (PdM) and Condition Monitoring (CoMo) programs, including vibrations analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and ultrasound
Carry out the correct maintenance at the correct time and at the best cost with the ultimate goal of increasing reliability
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering
3-5 years manufacturing reliability experience required
Aptitude with computer systems (MS Office Tools)
Experience with CMMS maintenance systems, MES, Power BI reports, Hourly Loss Monitoring
Strong cross-functional leadership and strategic thinking required
Familiarity with BDE and/or Problem-Solving methodology
Preferred
Troubleshooting experience with PLC and processing equipment preferred (Rockwell operating systems)
