Director of Business Development

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead the execution of comprehensive business development strategies aligned with company goals
Market Expansion: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, with a focus on infrastructure and long-term growth sectors
Sales Oversight: Direct regional sales and client engagement initiatives to drive pipeline development and revenue generation
Team Leadership: Provide mentorship, performance management, and strategic direction to business development teams
Lead Generation: Leverage data mining, networking, and outbound prospecting to uncover and qualify new leads
Client Engagement: Confidently consult with prospects, communicate value propositions, and build trust with decision-makers
Pipeline Management: Develop and manage a robust pipeline from initial contact through to close, ensuring seamless handoff to sales teams when appropriate
Proposal & Contracting: Oversee the preparation of proposals and lead contract negotiations to secure new business
Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategy
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in business development, sales leadership, or strategic partnerships preferably in B2B or infrastructure sectors
Demonstrated success in revenue generation, deal structuring, and closing complex partnerships
Strong understanding of sales cycles, lead generation strategies, and CRM tools
Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams with a focus on accountability and results
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Strategic thinker with sound judgment and decision-making capabilities
Experience in B2B marketing and client acquisition strategies
Highly self-motivated, organized, and driven to exceed goals
Ability to build trust and foster collaboration across all levels of the organization
