Senior DevOps Engineer
Hiive is a fintech/marketplace startup recognized as one of Canada’s top startups, connecting buyers and sellers of stock in venture-backed pre-IPO companies. The Senior DevOps Engineer will ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of the infrastructure, collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize deployment pipelines and enhance system performance.

Responsibilities
Automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and monitoring to improve system efficiency
Designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid and reliable releases
Ensuring platform reliability by proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks
Collaborating with product engineers to improve infrastructure and developer experience
Qualification
Required
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), in particular with strong proficiency in EKS, RDS, and VPC
Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working with Linux-based infrastructure
Proficiency in building Infrastructure as Code configuration with Terraform
Experience building performant CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
Experience with Datadog or similar observability tools
Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred
Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments
Familiarity with incident response and on-call rotation processes
Knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting
Understanding of Postgres database design and optimization
Experience with SOC2 or similar certifications
Experience working with Vercel and/or Cloudflare
Consider themselves highly capable at hands-on development in one or more programming languages
