Earned Value Analyst / Project Controls

Responsibilities
Develops and maintains EVMS processes and tools to track project scope, schedule, and cost performance
Analyzes project data to calculate and interpret EVMS metrics, including Planned Value (PV), Earned Value (EV), and Actual Cost (AC)
Monitors project performance using metrics such as Cost Variance (CV), Schedule Variance (SV), Cost Performance Index (CPI), and Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
Prepares detailed reports and dashboards to communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership
Conducts variance analysis and identify risks to schedule, cost, and performance baselines
Collaborates with project teams to develop corrective actions and recovery plans as needed
Generates IPMDAR and other EVMS reports
Ensures compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI/EIA-748) and contractual EVMS requirements
Provides training and guidance on EVMS processes and best practices to project teams
Participates in audits and reviews to verify adherence to EVMS guidelines
Supports the Program Controls Manager in the development of the Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS) and Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM)
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience working with Earned Value Management Systems or project controls
Proficiency in EVMS tools (e.g., Deltek Cobra, Microsoft Project, forProject)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data to stakeholders
Knowledge of EVMS standards, such as ANSI/EIA-748
Must be a US citizen
Preferred
Experience working in industries such as defense, aerospace, construction, or IT
Familiarity with government contracting and compliance requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS)
