United Insurance is providing an internship opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience from mid-May through mid-August. Interns will learn industry-specific skills through training and mentorship while assisting with various tasks and projects, culminating in a presentation to the Executive Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

Develop experience in the EPIC agency management system
Work closely with the Property & Casualty team, Employee Benefits team, and Financial Services to learn best practices and strategies
Utilize desktop applications such as MS Office (Excel, Word, Exchange)
Attend meetings
Participate in outreach efforts, including prospecting and client calls
Become knowledgeable in different insurance coverages and grow both personally and professionally
Engage in company events and networking opportunities
Provide excellent service as needed for our customers, carriers, and team members
Complete project work and other assignments as requested
Prepare and present final presentation to leadership
Performing other duties as assigned

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field. Or recently graduated
Willingness to learn and take initiative
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Interests in finance, sales, employee benefits, and the insurance industry
Excellent customer relationship skills
Positive, friendly, and professional attitude
