Research Assistant Professor/Senior Program Manager of Clinical Research, Translational Sciences, and Community Engagement

Responsibilities
Co-directs research Clinical Research, Translational Sciences, and Community Engagement programs in clinical/translational science (e.g., pragmatic trials, implementation science, health services research, community-engaged & CBPR methods, real-world evidence)
Prepares, submits, and leads competitive grants (NIH/PCORI/CDC/HRSA/CPRIT/foundation) and publish in peer-reviewed journals
Define goals and program deliverables; monitor reach, uptake, time-to-resolution, and outcomes
Coordinate IRB submissions; support pragmatic evaluations, grant reporting, and budget management
Teach undergrad/graduate/health-professional courses (e.g., Clinical Research Methods, Community-Engaged Research, Implementation Science, Intro to Biostatistics/Data Management)
Mentor students, residents/fellows, and junior scholars; supervises and advise capstones and theses
Build and steward partnerships with FQHCs, CBOs, faith organizations, schools, and public health agencies
Establish and facilitate Community Advisory Boards; co-design initiatives using CBPR principles
Represent the organization in coalitions; negotiate MOUs and data-sharing agreements
Lead development of infrastructure for protocol development, IRB submissions, recruitment/retention, data safety, and GCP compliance
Support REDCap/CTMS workflows, participant registries, and community advisory boards
Supervise staff and team members; set goals, coach performance, and build professional development plans
Oversee scheduling, supply management, and logistics for community events
Qualification
Required
Terminal degree (PhD, DrPH, PharmD, MD/DO, or equivalent) in relevant degree areas (e.g public health, health promotion, health policy, social work-related degree, or health education) with evidence of research productivity (peer-reviewed publications, grant activity)
Training/experience in clinical or translational research methods and community-engaged approaches
Proven track record of successfully managing research projects from inception to completion
Excellent leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with diverse populations
Demonstrated skills in computer software applications, data management, and analysis software (e.g., Microsoft outlook, Teams, office 365 excel, REDCap, Qualtrics, SPSS, R)
Ability to work in a team-based environment
Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and exercise sound judgment
Detail oriented, ability to problem-solve, and decision-making
Multitasking and time management
Demonstrated experience in effective conflict management and resolution
Independently use technology, and virtual meeting platforms
Learn/adapt to new processes, lead others and adhere to organizational objectives
Write scientific manuscripts and prepare posters for presentation
Lead others and adhere to organizational objectives
Travel locally, regionally and nationally to community engagement and outreach events, programs, activities or conferences related to job function with cost reimbursable under grant funding
Preferred
Postdoctoral or fellowship training in CTS/health services/implementation science
Prior role on funded projects (e.g., NIH K/R/U, PCORI, CDC)
Experience working with communities with unmet health needs
Familiarity with IRB/HIPAA/FDA (IND/IDE) regulations; GCP certification; SOCRA/ACRP credential (or obtained within 12 months of hire)
Proficiency with REDCap/CTMS, qualitative methods (NVivo/Atlas.ti), and/or analytics (R/Stata/SAS)
Bilingual e.g.: Spanish, Asian dialects, etc
