This role involves managing projects related to Ethereum validators, ensuring high-quality product launches, and driving operational excellence in staking infrastructure.

Responsibilities
You’ll manage one or more projects end-to-end, regardless of its size or complexity (e.g. supporting major Ethereum releases and hardforks like the Pectra upgrade that has many critical EIP’s included, researching and supporting deep technical changes within our clients like eth formatting changes, or optimizing local DB performance, etc.)
You are accountable for high-quality product launches and smooth project landings using experience-based judgment and proven technologies
You partner with Product to influence quarterly and long term roadmaps through various technical proposals
You learn about our Coinbase paved roads and support the best devops / infra practices to improve operation efficiency for Coinbase’s validator fleet
You’ll drive operational excellence work around uptime, security, and yield for your protocol
You’ll work with internal protocol specialists and the external protocol developer community to understand the nuances of the Ethereum network and be in the know of what’s upcoming (e.g. governance proposals, upgrades, breaking changes, etc.)
You’re expected to participate in an on-call rotation for all protocols that Coinbase supports, while being a go-to person for Ethereum
You’re expected to help onboard and coach junior engineers
