ATG 3DI Simulation Intern (Summer 2026)
Tokyo Electron America, Inc. is a leading company in the semiconductor equipment industry. They are seeking a summer intern with expertise in finite element, molecular dynamics, and quantum mechanics simulation to work in their 3DI Advanced Technology Group in Austin, Texas.

Responsibilities
Building molecular dynamics simulation reaction models
Use simulation to model different chemical reactions in gas and liquid phase
Communicate with teams in the US, Belgium and Japan to understand project guidelines, scope, and deliverables
Good communications skills are critical to the project assignment
Strong emphasis is placed on candidates that can find solutions to difficult problems through structured project management while working in a team environment
Qualification
Required
The candidate should be pursuing a B.S. or M.S. or Ph.D. degree in engineering, physics, chemistry or equivalent field
Preferred
Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics in general is desirable
Knowledge of quantum level calculation is desirable
Knowledge of transport phenomena: fluid dynamics, heat transfer, mass transfer is desirable
Experience working in a Linux cluster environment is desirable
Experience with VASP software is desirable
Experience with LAMMPS is desirable
Experience with programming languages such as MATLAB, python, C/C++, etc. is desirable
Knowledge of the semiconductor industry is desirable
