Responsibilities

Assist physicians during invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures

Set up, scrub, and circulate for cases—maintaining strict aseptic technique

Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely and effectively

Provide patient education, reassurance, and support throughout procedures

Ensure procedure rooms and supplies are prepared and fully stocked

Collaborate with the team on performance improvement and safety initiatives

Promote patient safety and radiation safety at all times

Qualification

Current ARRT registrationCurrent Arizona MRTBE licenseBLS certificationTrainingHemodynamics trainingIABP trainingACLS certificationPatient educationAseptic techniqueTeam collaboration

Required

Completion of a 2-year radiologic technology program (ARRT-eligible) or equivalent on-the-job training with 4 months of orientation

Current ARRT registration

Current Arizona MRTBE license

BLS certification (required)

Must complete EKG, Hemodynamics, and IABP classes within 4 months of hire

Preferred

ARRT (CI), (VI), or (CV)

ACLS certification
