Responsibilities
Design and implement next generation core FinTech systems that power Coinbase
Interact with stakeholders in many different organizations that build Coinbase products or responsible for financial operations
Participate in shaping of the strategy and execution path of FinHub
Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise
Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards
Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers
Qualification
Required
12 + years of experience in backend software engineering using Golang or similar languages
Domain expertise in FinTech and / or trading
Proven track record of delivering impactful solutions that power significant fund flows
You've designed, built, scaled and maintained high throughput and low latency production services
You've experience in architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact
Strong technical knowledge of building distributed systems that process massive scale
Solid communication skills, ability to communicate to stakeholders with various technical and non-technical backgrounds
Relentless drive to set and perseverance to achieve ambitious goals
Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together
Preferred
Practical experience of building ledgering or trading systems at large scale
Experience both in startups and large enterprises
Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity such as interacting with Ethereum addresses, using ENS, and engaging with dApps or blockchain-based services
