Responsibilities

Lead planning and execution through the Engineering, Manufacturing, and Development flight test program
Provide functional management for a team of approximately 20 system test engineers
Collaborate with government and contractor leaders to develop detailed test plans and drive an integrated team approach to problem solving
Develop resource forecasts and achieve cost and schedule performance goals
Support extensive executive-level interaction and report to the System Ground and Flight Test Senior Manager
Thorough understanding of flight test safety planning, test operations, and test reporting

Required

Must have 9 years of Engineering experience with a Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (7 years w/ Masters)
Must have an active DoD Secret clearance with full investigation within the last 6 years
Ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within reasonable time
Experience in a system test environment
Perform resource planning and staffing; staff development, including skills training and career support; performance management, including employee goal setting, performance reviews, and issues resolution
Knowledge of flight test planning, safety planning, test operations, and test reporting
Strong ability to communicate complex technical issues and solutions

Preferred

Significant experience in a developmental/operational test maintenance environment
Significant experience with one or more mission system disciplines
Minimum of 3 years in a defined leadership role, with functional home room manager experience a plus
Experience in a US Air Force Combined Test Force
Experience leading an aircraft operation under DCMA Instruction 8210 oversight
Experience with Earned Value Management
Experience building and maintaining a high performance team in a high paced aerospace environment
