Responsibilities

Write automation scripts in Python and Bash
Architect and maintain highly available CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment frameworks
Define and enforce infrastructure security and compliance best practices
Collaborate with developers to improve the software delivery lifecycle and developer experience
Lead innovation in build automation, containerization, and infrastructure-as-code
Implement and maintain advanced monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for mission-critical applications
Participate in architectural reviews, ensuring DevOps principles are embedded in system design
Drive incident response for high-priority issues, including after-hours escalations
Mentor engineers on DevOps, cloud, and security practices

Required

7+ years in DevOps or related engineering roles, with strong leadership in technical execution
Expert-level experience in AWS (CloudFormation, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, ECS/EKS, Lambda, IAM)
Advanced scripting skills (Python, Shell, PowerShell, or similar)
Proven experience with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Puppet, Chef)
Strong background in containerization (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes) and modern observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus)
Experience integrating security scanning tools (e.g., Veracode, SonarQube) into CI/CD pipelines
Deep understanding of branching strategies and large-scale version control
Must be located in Phoenix, AZ, Indianapolis, IN, or New York and be willing to commute into office 3 days a week
