They are seeking a Chief Physicist responsible for quality assurance of radiation apparatus, treatment records, and treatment plans, as well as participating in educational and research programs within the department.

Responsibilities

Quality assurance of the radiation producing apparatus in the Department

Quality assurance of the treatment records of the patients in the Department

Verification and/or validation of the treatment plans

Quality assurance of the brachytherapy program

Participation in the educational programs within the Department

Participation in the research programs within the Department

Qualification

Medical PhysicsRadiation Oncology PhysicsQuality AssuranceMasters DegreeCertification in Therapeutic Radiological Physics

Required

Masters Degree in medical physics, physics, or a closely allied field

The physicist will have completed a program which included clinical responsibilities in radiation oncology physics

If the physicist is not certified in Therapeutic Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology or equivalent, the physicist will begin the certification process as soon as possible
