Start in 2026 SummerCDM Smith’s Charleston office is looking for a Civil or Transportation Engineering Intern to join the team! During this internship, you will work with our Transportation team on various projects, supporting studies and performing engineering calculations.
Responsibilities
Researching, compiling and examining a variety of transportation data
Support Transportation Engineering studies with a focus on roadway PS&E design, environmental and schematic design, and computer aided design and drafting
Performing engineering calculations and analyses under supervision
Proofreading and copying technical and non-technical reports as well as specifications
Assisting staff with a variety of projects and/or field assignments
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related Engineering degree
