Responsibilities
Assist with the repair, maintenance, and modification of injection mold tools and components
Operate manual machining equipment (e.g., mill, lathe, grinder) under supervision
Learn and apply proper tool room safety protocols and machining best practices
Support experienced technicians with daily tasks and gain exposure to complex tool troubleshooting
Document work completed and maintain accurate tooling records
Participate in cross-functional meetings with engineering, maintenance, and production teams
Progressively take on more advanced responsibilities as training is completed
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or GED required
Basic understanding of machining principles, tooling terminology, and shop equipment
Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced mentors
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious
Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
Preferred
Technical/vocational school certification in machining or toolmaking
Exposure to injection molding tooling
Experience with blueprints, schematics, or CAD drawings
Familiarity with measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
