Assistant Director - Wanda Patterson Womens' Residence

Bowery Residents' Committee is dedicated to helping New Yorkers experiencing homelessness reclaim their lives. They are seeking an Assistant Director to assist with the operation and development of a therapeutic program for severely mentally ill and homeless adults, while supervising staff and providing crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

Assist Program Director with day-to-day operation as well as program planning and development of residential, therapeutic program for severely mentally ill and homeless adults
Supervise Clinical and Operations staff and oversee related departments
Co-facilitate staff meetings and assist with program reporting
Provide crisis intervention with clients
Provide emergency first aid/CPR assistance when needed
Related duties as assigned

Qualification

Managerial experienceMentally illMasters in Social WorkOfficeCPR certificationBilingual Spanish

Required

Bachelors degree required
Three years managerial experience in a shelter system setting required
Experience with severely and persistently mentally ill individuals
Proficiency in Office, Word and Excel programs
CPR training certification or willingness to take training class in CPR

Preferred

Masters in Social Work
Experience with MICA/homeless population
Bilingual Spanish
Vaccination preferred but not required
