Senior LevelUniversity at Buffalo is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate in the lab of Dr. Yolanda Huang within the Department of Microbiology & Immunology. The role focuses on advancing research on gut microbiota, involving independent experiments, protocol development, and mentoring students.

Responsibilities
Conducting experiments independently, establishing new protocols
Timely recording of accurate experimental details and results
Performing data interpretations and communicating findings to the PI
Participating and contributing to group meetings
Writing manuscripts related to the project; assisting in preparation of research proposals
Participating and presenting work at conferences, workshops
Training and mentoring lab members; assisting others when/where expertise is needed
Performing weekly lab maintenance duties
Qualification
Required
PhD in microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related field
Demonstrated research productivity
Preferred
Expertise in microbiology of anaerobes and phages
Assay development
Functional genomics
Generation and analysis of sequencing data
-omics techniques
Bioinformatics
Biochemistry
Analytical chemistry (HPLC, LC-MS)
