Responsibilities

Participate in a wide range of environmental and engineering projects, from conceptual site model development to design and implementation of remediation and risk management strategies
Foster strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
Mentor and oversee the work of junior engineers and scientists, providing direction and technical expertise throughout all phases of project delivery
Prepare detailed technical reports, interpret complex environmental data, and develop effective corrective action plans tailored to client and regulatory needs
Leverage WSP’s extensive network and client base to expand environmental remediation and engineering services within the Industrial and Commercial sector
Collaborate with leadership, including office management, sector leaders, and senior staff to drive project and business objectives
Manage multiple projects, being responsible for ensuring that deliverables, schedules and budgets are achieved
Travel as required to project sites to support project execution and business development activities

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Chemical, Environmental or related engineering discipline
Essential professional licensure/certification (GA P.E. or ability to obtain license)
Candidate should have experience with CERCLA, RCRA, DTSC, Water Board and other EPD/EPA Programs
Minimum of 10 years of environmental project experience, including task management, proposal writing, client contact, and regulatory interaction
Experience with site investigations and remediation of environmental impacts to soil and groundwater
Works independently and provides guidance and leadership to junior team or project members, with strict adherence to QA/QC
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience writing technical reports and project proposals
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred

Master's degrees in Environmental, Civil or other engineering related discipline
