Responsibilities
Provide direction and specialist knowledge in applying Oracle solutions to client business challenges. Facilitation of customer solution understanding through meetings, presentations, and demonstrations throughout the sales cycle
As a Solution Engineer, you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction
Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions
Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads or supports all aspects of the sales process
Technical thought leadership and innovation on the Cloud ERP platform
Qualification
Required
Experience with ERP solutions with a strong Accounting (Government strongly desired) background
Very strong verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required
3-year pre-sales or other related experience
7 years business experience with relevant business applications
High-level understanding of all aspects of ERP: Financials, Procure to Pay, Plan to Build, Quote to Cash, Projects and Grants, Reporting, Data Quality, and Supply Chain is desired
Thorough knowledge of system and application design
In-depth knowledge of competitors is desirable
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques
Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication
Regular travel is required
BS degree or equivalent, major in Accounting is desired
Preferred
Experience in Governmental Accounting is preferred
Experience with Public Sector ERP solutions
Accounting degree or Major in Accounting preferred
CPA Certification a plus
Industries experience is preferred: Public Sector

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
